Hint of Night
I painted the original painting that this artwork was printed from entirely outdoors, along the banks of the Ottauquechee River on a warm moonlit autumn night in Woodstock, Vermont. There were suspicious cracks echoing in the forest and along the river, from wildlife making their nightly travels. The soft breeze set my mind at ease in what could have been a foreboding painting. In the end, the piece ended up showing the simple beauty and mystery of a New England evening. This print or card would make a perfect addition in the hands of an outdoorsperson or nature lover.
Choose from 5” x 7” open edition and 8" x 10" and 11" x 14" limited edition size prints. Limited edition prints are on bamboo paper and come numbered, titled and signed by artist, either with or without a mat and frame. Open edition prints are not numbered, but are titled and signed by the artist and can also be framed. Unframed prints come with an archival backer and ship flat.
Framed prints are matted with an archival off-white mat and backer, under glass, and live edge frame is completely ready to hang. Mat and frame adds approximately 8” to each side; For example, an 8" x 10" print framed is approximately 16” x 18”. Frame dimensions are approximate due to the variability of widths in the live-edge wood; No two frames are alike. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product. Note: photo of framed print shows a different example print but is to show the handcrafted mat and frame style.
Inside of cards are left blank, ready for your personalization. Card measures approximately 5 1/4" x 4" and is printed on recycled white cardstock. A recycled white envelope is included with each card.
