Love Affair
Archival prints and cards of a daisy head with two companion ladybugs. In the dead of a Vermont winter, I had an urge to paint something that reminded me of warmer weather. From the start of the painting until the end, a ladybug (or perhaps more than one) kept appearing on the painting as I was working on it. Even if I shooed it away, it found its way back within seconds. Basically, it walked on the painting until I was through. In the end, I decided that these persistent companions needed to play a role in this piece! I added them in combination with their beloved blooming daisy. This artwork would make a wonderful addition in the hands of a gardener, or a wildlife or nature lover.
Choose from 5” x 7” open edition and 8" x 10,” 11" x 14" and 16” x 20” limited edition size prints. Limited edition prints are on bamboo paper and come numbered, titled and signed by artist, either with or without a mat and frame. Open edition prints are not numbered, but are titled and signed by the artist and can also be framed. Unframed 5” x 7,” 8” x 10” and 11” x 14” prints come with an archival backer and ship flat. Unframed 16" x 20" print ships rolled without a backer.
Framed prints are matted with an archival off-white mat and backer, under glass, and live edge frame is completely ready to hang. Mat and frame adds approximately 8” to each side; For example, an 8" x 10" print framed is approximately 16” x 18." Frame dimensions are approximate due to the variability of widths in the live edge wood; No two frames are alike. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product.
Inside of cards are left blank, ready for your personalization. Cards measures approximately 5 1/4" x 4" and are printed on recycled white cardstock. A recycled white envelope is included with each card. Cards come in packs of 3,6 or 10 cards.
