Forest Dweller
Archival prints and cards of a young black bear that came to visit me at my home in Vermont. He spent a lot of time looking at me, my children and my dog, and then moved along into the woods. I wanted to incorporate his curious presense in the piece. If you look closely, there are elusive jack-in-the-pulpit growing among his legs. This artwork would make a wonderful addition to the home of a wildlife or nature lover, hiker or other outdoor enthusiast.
Choose from 5” x 7” open edition and 8" x 10" and 11" x 14" limited edition size prints. Limited edition prints are on bamboo paper and come numbered, titled and signed by artist, either with or without a mat and frame. Open edition prints are not numbered, but are titled and signed by the artist and can also be framed. Unframed prints come with an archival backer and ship flat.
Framed prints are matted with an archival off-white mat and backer, under glass, and live-edge frame is completely ready to hang. Mat and frame adds approximately 8” to each side; For example, an 8" x 10" print that is framed has final dimensions of approximately 16” x 18." Frame dimensions are approximate due to the variability of widths in the live-edge wood; No two frames are alike. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product.
Inside of card is left blank, ready for your personalization. Card measures approximately 5 1/4" x 4" and is printed on white cardstock. A white envelope is included with each card.
