Chasing the Moon
Archival prints and cards of a rising moon in a textured moonlit night sky. Driving home one evening, I chased this moon, which hid behind every tree, mountain, and building for miles. At the point that I had given up getting a photograph of this elusive skyscape, I crested my hill and parked, rewarded with a unique reference photo for painting. This artwork makes a wonderful gift to a nature lover, or one who appreciates the night or skyscapes in general.
Choose from 5” x 7” open edition and 8" x 10,” 11" x 14" and 16” x 20” limited edition size prints. Limited edition prints are on bamboo paper and come numbered, titled and signed by artist, either with or without a mat and frame. Open edition prints are not numbered, but are titled and signed by the artist and can also be framed. Unframed 5” x 7,” 8” x 10” and 11” x 14” prints come with an archival backer and ship flat. Unframed 16" x 20" print ships rolled without a backer.
Framed prints are matted with an archival off-white mat and backer, under glass, and live-edge frame is completely ready to hang. Mat and frame adds approximately 8” to each side; For example, an 8" x 10" print that is framed is approximately 16” x 18." Frame dimensions are approximate due to the variability of widths in the live-edge wood; No two frames are alike. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product. Note: photo of framed print shows a different example print but is to show the handcrafted mat and frame style.
Inside of card is left blank, ready for your personalization. Card measures approximately 5 1/4" x 4" and is printed on white cardstock. A white envelope is included with each card.
