Fox Basking in Sun
Archival prints and cards of a red fox that I met at a wildlife rehabilitation center in the Adirondacks. He didn’t appear to have a care in the world, sunning himself on an old stump, looking at the world go round. I thought, I have a lot to learn from this old red fox... He was the epitome of live in the moment and enjoy the small things in life. How could I not put such expression in paint? This peaceful artwork would make a wonderful addition to the home of a wildlife or nature lover, or other outdoor enthusiast.
Choose from 5” x 5” open edition and 8" x 8” and 12” x 12” limited edition size prints. Limited edition prints are on bamboo paper and come numbered, titled and signed by artist, either with or without a mat and frame. Open edition prints are not numbered, but are titled and signed by the artist and can also be framed. Unframed prints come with an archival backer and ship flat.
Framed prints are matted with a 2" archival off-white mat and backer, under glass, and live-edge frame is completely ready to hang. Mat and frame adds approximately 8” to each side; For example, an 8” x 8” print that is matted and framed will have final framed dimensions of approximately 16" x 16." Frame dimensions are approximate due to the variability of widths in the live-edge wood; No two frames are alike. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product.
Inside of card is left blank, ready for your personalization. Card measures approximately 5" x 5" and is printed on white cardstock. A white envelope is included with each card.
This print pairs beautifully with companion print, Fox Tranquility in Time, seen here: Fox Tranquility in Time.
