Deer in Sunset Marsh
Original oil painting on canvas of a doe and fawn making their way at the edge of a marsh in the brilliant sunset lighting. I saw this scene 20 years ago now, driving home one evening while working for the Department of Fish and Wildlife here in Vermont. I was struck by the peacefulness of the deer pair against the bold powerful coloring. The moment stuck with me all of this time and I knew I had to paint it one day. Newly painted, here is the result of that thought so long ago. The painting is accentuated with my signature live edge wooden frame.
Framed oil painting dimensions are 18” x 42”. Hanging hardware affixed to rear of painting.
