Love Birds - Original Painting
The tops of our sumac trees are at eye level from our 2-story deck, where we can watch the birds coming and going. Instead of a male and female bonded pair of goldfinches, seen here is a male parent giving his almost full-grown female chick a seed. This scene reminded me of my own family, with our teen daughter about to venture off to college, yet still relying on some of our care. I wanted to capture this gentle moment in paint, with the beautiful Vermont mountainside as a backdrop. This original oil painting tryptic would be perfect for a New England or nature lover.
