Woodland Viceroy - Original Painting
Original painting, prints and cards of a viceroy butterfly set against the green surrounding foliage. Hiking allows me to view such unique sights and this one did not dissapoint. The dramatic contrast in color, beckoned me to paint this scene. This versatile painting, print or card would be perfect for nature lovers, hikers or gardeners.
The painting is encased in my signature live-edge wooden frame. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product. Framed oil painting dimensions are 18” x 22.” Hanging hardware is affixed to rear of frame.
