Winter Haven - Original Painting
Original oil painting, prints and cards of a deer bedded down in the forest. I happened upon this scene and was even able to capture some photos to paint from before leaving. I wanted to capture that tranquil feeling when painting it. This peaceful artwork would make a wonderful addition to the home of a wildlife, nature lover, or other outdoor enthusiast.
The oil painting is accentuated with my signature live-edge wooden frame. This particular frame is made from beautiful weathered spalted maple, creating a natural grayed effect with occasional darker lines running through it. Artist-crafted frame is made from rescued slab wood, wood that is normally burned as sugaring wood or bonfires. Frame is finished in three coats of Vermont poly-whey varnish, a USDA certified biobased product. Framed oil painting dimensions are 15” x 15.” Hanging hardware affixed to rear of painting. A Certificate of Authenticity is included with all original paintings.
